配置声音

Workstation Player 提供了一个与 Sound Blaster AudioPCI 兼容的声音设备，并且支持 Windows 和 Linux 客户机操作系统中的声音。Workstation Player 声音设备默认为启用状态。

声音支持包括脉冲代码调制 (PCM) 输出和输入。例如，您可以播放 .wav 文件、MP3 音频和 Real Media 音频。虚拟机通过 Windows 软件合成器为 Windows 客户机的 MIDI 输出提供支持，但是不支持 MIDI 输入。对于 Linux 客户机，虚拟机不提供 MIDI 支持。

Windows 和最新的 Linux 分发版本可检测声音设备，并安装为其适用的驱动程序。

当您在 64 位 Windows Vista 或 Windows 7 客户机操作系统中安装 VMware Tools 时，会同时安装一个声音驱动程序。对于 32 位 Windows Vista、Windows 7、Windows 2003 Server 和 Windows Server 2008 客户机，您必须使用 Windows Update 安装 32 位驱动程序。
