Data Management for VMware Tanzu derives is resources from an underlying vSphere virtual infrastructure. When a vSphere cluster is onboarded in Data Management for VMware Tanzu, these resources are allocated to an organization. The Provider Administrator can then choose to share the infrastructure with additional organizations.
Because Data Management for VMware Tanzu relies on vSphere resources to provide CPU, memory and storage to run virtual machines, you can use vCenter to add resources to the infrastructures that you onboard with Data Management for VMware Tanzu. You can add datastores and ESXi hosts; you cannot add networks after you install and deploy DMS.
