A Data Management for VMware Tanzu Organization is a logical grouping of users. Data Management for VMware Tanzu pre-defines two types of organizations:
- Provider Org - A type of organization to which one or more Provider Administrator user belongs.
- Tenant Org - A type of organization with one or more Organization Administrator or Organization User user members.
Only one Provider Org can exist in the Data Management for VMware Tanzu installation. Data Management for VMware Tanzu automatically creates a Provider Org with the same name as the Provider Company Name specified when the Provider VM is deployed.
Tenant Orgs are created through the Data Management for VMware Tanzu console or API. A Tenant Org can be created any time after the Provider VM is deployed.
