If you lost or forgot the password of the Data Management for VMware Tanzu Provider Administrator Local user, you can recover it only through the Forgot Password link on the Data Management for VMware Tanzu login screen; this initiates password reset via email.
If you are an LDAP user, ask the LDAP administrator to reset your password.
Be prepared to set a new password; ensure that the password that you set meets the password policy rules of Data Management for VMware Tanzu. The password must contain:
Perform the following procedure to reset the password:
Enter the Data Management for VMware Tanzu IP address in a browser window.
The Data Management for VMware Tanzu login screen displays.
Locate, and then click, the Forgot Password link to initiate password reset via email.
This action displays the Forgot Password form.
Enter the registered Data Management for VMware Tanzu Email ID, and then click RESET.
Data Management for VMware Tanzu generates and sends an email to the email address provided in the form.
Check your email. When the email arrives, click the link to reset your password.
Enter the temporary Current Password, and enter the new password in both the New Password and Confirm Password fields. Ensure that the new password meets the Data Management for VMware Tanzu password policy rules described in the Prerequisites.
Click CHANGE PASSWORD.
Your Data Management for VMware Tanzu console password is changed to the value that you specified.
Re-log in to the Data Management for VMware Tanzu console.
