Power Off a Virtual Machine in Fusion Pro

When you shut down the guest operating system in your virtual machine in Fusion Pro, the virtual machine is powered off.

You might need to power cycle your virtual machine if your Horizon FLEX administrator changes the virtual machine configuration.

You can use several methods to shut down your virtual machine's operating system. This procedure is the preferred method.

Procedure

From the Fusion toolbar, select Virtual Machine > Shut Down.

Option	Description
Power Off	If Windows is not responding, click Power Off to power off the virtual machine. Power off might result in data loss and should only be used if Windows is not responding.
Shut Down	Click Shut Down to ask Windows to shut down.
