The vRealize Network Insight adapter integrates alerts that are unknown to vRealize Operations Manager. These alerts are added to vRNI Alerts. You can enable or disable the generation of alerts on vRNI Alerts using the VRNI_IS_ALERTS_ON_VRNI_AlERTS_ENABLED property. To do so, stop the adapter instance, make the property changes on all the nodes, and start the adapter instance.

This Management packs gathers information on the inventory of the data sources configured in vRealize Network Insight. These data sources must be configured as end points in vRealize Operations Manager.

From the Alerts tab or from the Inventory, you can troubleshoot issues by getting the insights of object on which the alert is triggered by using launch-in-context to vRealize Network Insight.

For the alerts or notifications without any object mapping in the inventory, you can launch-in-context to either problems or user defined events of vRealize Network Insight.

In the Inventory, the launch-in-context option is available only for the following objects:

This Management Pack collects the user defined events of vRealize Network Insight as notifications. It pulls the user defined events generated in last six hours from vRealize Network Insight to vRealize Operations Manager, as notifications. To increase or decrease this time interval, edit the VRNI_USER_DEFINED_EVENT_OVERLAP_IN_HOURS property in NetworkInsight.properties.
