Known Issues

  • Enabling the Standard Certificate Validation results in an error message

When you enable the setting Enable Standard Certificate Validation using Administration > Management > Global Settings, the following error message pops up for FIPS enabled or disabled mode in vRealize Operations Manager.

Connection refused: unable to establish connection, error description: Hostname ' xyz.xhh.12x.vmware.com' does not match the certificate subject provided by the peer.

The reason for this is, after you deploy the vIDM end point, at first boot the endpoint generates a certificate either based on an IP or a host name. If the certificate is generated using the IP of the endpoint and vIDM MP adapter instance creation is attempted using VIDM hostname, it results in an error message.

Workaround: Create a VIDM MP adapter instance using vIDM IP

  • Uninstalling VMware Identity Manager adapter does not delete the VMware Identity Manager dashboard

After uninstalling the VMware Identity Manager adapter, the VMware Identity Manager dashboard still exists and is not deleted.

Delete the VMware Identity Manager dashboard manually from the Manage Dashboard page in vRealize Operations Manager

  • The content for VMware Identity Manager displays the dashboard count as zero

Th dashboard count under the Content tab is displayed as zero for the VMware Identity Manager adapter.
