You can configure the vCenter, vCloud Director, and NSX Endpoints from the Tenant App UI. You can also configure these Endpoints from the vRealize Operations Manager UI.

This procedure is applicable when you configure vCenter, vCloud Director, and NSX Endpoints from the Tenant App UI.
Note: Configuring the vCenter, vCloud Director, and NSX Endpoints in the Tenant App creates the respective adapter instances in the vRealize Operations Manager.

Prerequisites

Verify that the Management Packs for vCloud Director and NSX are installed.

Procedure

  1. On the left pane, select Administration > Solutions.
  2. To configure a vCenter adapter instance:
    1. Select the vCenter Server tab and click Add.
    2. Enter the Display name of the vCenter instance and enter a valid Description.
    3. Enter the Hostname or FQDN of the vCenter Server.
    4. Enter the vCenter Server Username and Password, and click Test Connection. The test connection is successful only when the user name and password are valid.
    5. Click Save.
  3. To configure a vCloud Director adapter instance:
    1. Select the vCloud tab and click Add.
    2. Enter the Display name of the vCloud instance and enter a valid Description.
    3. Enter vCloud Director Hostname or FQDN.
    4. Enter the Organization name.
    5. Enter the Username and Password.
    6. (Optional) Enter the AMQP Password and then, click Test Connection. The test connection is successful only when the user name and password are valid.
    7. Click Save.
      Dashboards start displaying data collected from vCloud Director.
  4. To configure an NSX adapter instance:
    1. Select the NSX tab and click Add.
    2. Enter the Display name of the NSX instance and enter a valid Description.
    3. Enter NSX Manager Hostname or FQDN.
    4. Enter the vCenter Server Hostname or FQDN.
    5. Enter the VC Username and Password.
    6. Enter the NSX Username and Password, and then, click Test Connection. The test connection is successful only when the user name and password are valid.
    7. Click Save.
