The Management Pack for VMware Integrated OpenStack provides the following predefined alert definitions for the OpenStack External Logical Switch object type.

  1. Verify that the configuration on the External Logical Switch is correct.
  2. Check the log files for more information about what is causing the failure.
Health Critical
One or more ports on the external Logical Switch are down One or more ports on the External Logical Switch are reporting a down state, which may be impacting network connectivity for project virtual machines. Self Metric: Port|Status = DOWN
  1. Verify that the configuration on the External Logical Switch is correct.
  2. Verify that there is physical network connectivity for this logical network.
  3. Check the log files for more information about what is causing the failure.
