The troubleshooting steps are for the vRealize Operations Manager users using the Management Pack for VMware Skyline 2.0.

If you are not able to view alerts in the Skyline Overview dashboard, perform the following steps to enable the notification events of the policy applied in the Skyline adapter instance.


  1. In the vRealize Operations Manager page, click Administration.
  2. In the left pane, click Policies.
  3. Under Policies, click the Policy Library tab.
  4. Select the policy and click the pencil to the edit the policy.
  5. In the Edit Monitoring Policy workspace, click Alerts / Symptom Definitions and enable the notification events.
  6. To save the changes, click Save.

What to do next

For the changes to be reflected in the Skyline Overview dashboard, restart the Skyline adapter instance.
