Creating a Credential (SVC & Storwize)

One of the required configuration tasks for the Management Pack is to create a set of credentials in vROps.

Prerequisites

• Installing the Management Pack (SVC & Storwize)

Procedure

1. From the top navigation bar, selectAdministration. In the left panel, expand theManagementcategory and selectCredentials.
2. Click the Add icon. In the Manage Credential window that appears, enter the following information:
   1. Credential Name: A name for this set of credentials
   2. User Name: IBM SVC or Storwize user name
   3. Password: IBM SVC or Storwize password
   4. vSphere Host: the vSphere hostname or IP address
   5. vSphere Username: the vSphere Username
   6. vSphere Password: the vSphere Password
