This chapter describes the resource relationship hierarchy of a VMware Cloud Director adapter instance.

Resource Relationship Hierarchy

The following image displays the relationship hierarchy of a VMware Cloud Director adapter instance.

The resources in a Management Pack for VMware Cloud Director instance can be classified as parent resource or child resource. If both the parent and child resources are vCloud resources, it implies that the child resource belongs to the parent. For example, Organization VDC is part of Provider vDC. Also, a relationship is established, if the parent is a vCloud resource and the child is a vCenter resource.
