Installation and Upgrade

For the supported upgrade paths for VMware Site Recovery Manager, select Upgrade Path and VMware Site Recovery Manager in the  VMware Product Interoperability Matrix. The recommended upgrade path from Site Recovery Manager 8.3.1.6 is to Site Recovery Manager 8.5.0.4 or later version.

Resolved Issues

  • NEW The vpxd service on the Site Recovery Manager stops responding

    The Site Recovery Manager appliance fails to properly clean up the collector filters causing the vpxd service to stop responding.

    This issue is fixed in Site Recovery Manager 8.3.1.6.

  • NEW The datastore is not listed in the secondary site when configuring replication

    If the secondary site has two clusters with the same name in different folders, the datastore is not listed when configuring replications.

    This issue is fixed in Site Recovery Manager 8.3.1.6.

  • NEW After upgrading vCenter Server, you might observe error messages in the Site Recovery UI

    When you open the Site Recovery UI after upgrading your vCenter Server to version 6.7 Update 3p, you might observe the following error message: "User is not logged in. Terminating method execution due to lack of privileges." The same error is observed in the dr.log and the HMS logs.

    This issue is fixed in Site Recovery Manager 8.3.1.6.
