Migration to the VMware Site Recovery Manager Virtual Appliance
You can migrate your Site Recovery Manager 8.3.x instance from Windows to the Site Recovery Manager 8.3.x virtual appliance and then upgrade to Site Recovery Manager 8.5.0.3 Virtual Appliance. Resolved Issues
- NEW The datastore is not listed in the secondary site when configuring replication
If the secondary site has two clusters with the same name in different folders, the datastore is not listed when configuring replications.
This issue is fixed in Site Recovery Manager 8.5.0.3.
- NEW The DNS suffixes validator rejects suffixes ending in a number
When you change IP settings and perform IP customization, the DNS suffixes validator rejects suffixes ending in a number. You receive the following error:
"Invalid DNS suffix format"
This issue is fixed in Site Recovery Manager 8.5.0.3.
- NEW After upgrading vCenter Server, you might observe errors messages in the Site Recovery UI
When you open the Site Recovery UI after upgrading your vCenter Server to version 6.7 Update 3p or version 7.0 Update 3 P04, you might observe the following error message:
"User is not logged in. Terminating method execution due to lack of privileges."
The same error is observed in the dr.log and the HMS logs.This issue is fixed in Site Recovery Manager 8.5.0.3.
Known Issues
- NEW Test Failover operation for some virtual machines fails with an error
When all replications are in OK state and you trigger a Test Failover, some virtual machines fail with the following error:
"A general system error occurred: Invalid Fault. Create writable storage snapshot. Another task is already in progress."
Workaround: Retry the Test Failover.
