Resolved Issues

  • NEW The Site Recovery Manager service restarts periodically

An increased memory usage by the srm-service due to repeated protection synchronization with vCenter Server might cause a service restart.

This issue is resolved in Site Recovery Manager 8.5.0.5.

  • NEW After deploying the Site Recovery Manager appliance by using an OVF template, all the network information is missing

When you power on the Site Recovery Manager appliance after deploying it by using an OVF template, all the network information is missing. When the DNS is set to "xxx, xxx", the second DNS IP includes the leading space character. This causse DNS parse error.

This issue is resolved in Site Recovery Manager 8.5.0.5.

  • NEW The srm-server service is down when performing Reprotect

When performing Reprotect of a Recovery plan with storage policy protection groups and stretched storage, during the Verify step of the Reprotect operation, the stretched storage SRA returns different keys and IDs for the source and the target devices. This might cause the srm-service to go down.

This issue is fixed in Site Recovery Manager 8.5.0.5.

  • NEW Upgrading from Site Recovery Manager 8.3.1.6 to Site Recovery Manager 8.5.0.4 fails

After upgrading Site Recovery Manager from version 8.3.1.6 to 8.5.0.4, the appliance does not request a reconfigure and the srm-server service is down.

This issue is fixed in Site Recovery Manager 8.5.0.5.

  • NEW You receive a warning during storage configuration

During the Storage Configuration step you receive the following warning: "Warning - Cannot complete the operation due to an incorrect request to the server." There is no impact on the virtual machine functionality, the VM boots fine and is accessible after performing a Test recovery or Disaster Recovery.

This issue is fixed in Site Recovery Manager 8.5.0.5.

  • NEW Cannot download support bundle

When you attempt to download a support bundle, you receive Need authorization message and the operation fails.

This issue is fixed in Site Recovery Manager 8.5.0.5.

  • NEW Cannot perform failover

Site Recovery Manager cannot perform a failover. Same device IDs across different array pairs cause configuration issues with the Site Recovery Manager protection groups.

This issue is fixed in Site Recovery Manger 8.5.0.5.

  • NEW When re-running a recovery plan, the vMotion option is not available to check or uncheck

When re-running a recovery plan, the vMotion option is not available to check or uncheck. As cross vCenter Server vMotion is a Site Recovery Manager enterprise feature, the execution of the recovery plan immediately fails with "Not enough licenses"

This issue is fixed in Site Recovery Manager 8.5.0.5.

  • NEW After performing a failover, the recovered virtual machine icon shows 3 dots

If you manually map the protected disk of a virtual machine to another disk or detach the disk in the VM protection properties under the protection group, the recovered VM icon shows 3 dots after performing a failover as if it is still a placeholder VM.

This issue is fixed in Site Recovery Manager 8.5.0.5.
