With vSphere Replication 9.0.1 and later you can test the connectivity between all compute resources in a replication and gain insight into potential connectivity issues between the cluster mappings.

vSphere Replication performs a ping and latency measurement from the source to the target host. The Enhanced Replication Mapping measures the latency by performing a test operation and it reports any connectivity issues that might have occurred during the test. Enhanced replication mappings show performance of possible replication data paths between source and target sites. These paths are periodically tested automatically, and can also be tested on demand and modified. Enhanced replication mappings are only used for replications using Enhanced vSphere Replication.

Mappings between the source and target compute resources are added automatically when creating new or reconfiguring existing replications. You can add additional tests manually. Quick tests run automatically every hour.
