What's New

VMware Unified Access Gateway 2309 provides the following new features and enhancements:

  • Certified support for deploying UAG on Azure in FIPS mode with Smart Card authentication with the Blast Secure Gateway.

  • Added disk usage statistics to the log archive for troubleshooting purposes.

  • Logging improvements.

  • Updates to Photon OS package versions and Java versions.

Before You Begin

Resolved Issues

Note: The numbers included before the resolved issues are used by VMware's internal issue tracking system.

  • UAG-9795: /var/log/messages-kv.log expands significantly, causing disk exhaustion.

  • UAG-9817: Host port redirect mappings of the Horizon Settings do not allow subdomains in the specified hostname to start with a numeric digit.

  • UAG-9628: Configuring via Import Settings fails when SAML authentication settings are stored in JSON format.

  • UAG-9401: The SAML IDP metadata cannot be regenerated by deploying a new certificate to establish mutual trust with Horizon Connection Server for Smart Card authentication.

  • PPAT-15292: Tunnel service is overloaded by connections when deployed in cascade mode.
