If you did not configure HTTPS proxy settings for the VMware Identity Manager Connector component during installation, you can configure them later by creating a proxy settings file.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Windows server.
  2. Create the following file:

    install_dir\opt\vmware\horizon\workspace\bin\proxySettings.bat

  3. Add the following setting to the file:

    set "PROXY_OPTS=-Dhttps.proxyHost=proxyhost -Dhttp.proxyHost=proxyhost -Dhttps.proxyPort=proxyport -Dhttp.proxyPort=proxyport"

where proxyhost is the HTTPS proxy server and proxyport is the HTTPS proxy server port.

To specify non-proxy hosts, hosts that should be accessed without going through the proxy server, add the following to the PROXY_OPTS setting:

    -Dhttps.nonProxyHosts=host -Dhttp.nonProxyHosts=host

Currently, only a single entry is supported for non-proxy hosts. The entry can include wildcards. For example:

    -Dhttps.nonProxyHosts=*.example.com -Dhttp.nonProxyHosts=*.example.com

  4. Save the file.
  5. Run the following script to restart the service.

    install_dir\usr\local\horizon\scripts\horizonService.bat restart

    Important:

Do not restart the service from the Services panel as the settings will not be updated correctly.
