App Volumes can be used to manage and deliver applications to users of Amazon AppStream 2.0. The App Volumes deployment guide for Amazon AppStream 2.0 provides instructions for installing and configuring App Volumes.

App Volumes listed on AWS Marketplace uses AWS CloudFormation service to create an Amazon EC2 stack. The service deploys a virtual machine where App Volumes Manager is automatically installed and partially configured.

Note: Be aware that:
  • The App Volumes for Amazon AppStream 2.0 solution is supported only for App Volumes 4, version 2309 and later
  • The solution is intended for applications packages and not Writable Volumes.

App Volumes participates in VMware’s Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP). In addition to information collected for CEIP, VMware may collect Operational Data. For more information about this program and the collection of operational data, see the Join the Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) for App Volumes section in the VMware App Volumes 4 Administration Guide.
