You can use App Volumes in the Azure Virtual Desktop Remote App environment. The VMware App Volumes Deployment Guide for Azure Virtual Desktop Remote Apps provides a new solution for installing and configuring App Volumes in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace.

Administrators can now use lifecycle management and apps on demand features with remote app streaming capabilities in Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.

Note: Be aware of the following: that:
  • The Azure Marketplace solution is supported for App Volumes 4, version 2309 and later only. However, the solution is not supported for App Volumes 2.x.
  • The solution is intended for application packages and not Writable Volumes.
