You might want to unregister and reregister AppDefense plug-in to resolve any upgrade issues.

Solution

  1. To unregister SSO, perform the following steps.
    1. Log in to the AppDefense Appliance VA GUI at https://<appliance ip address> using the admin credentials.
The Appliance Dashboard appears as a default home page.
    2. Go to the Appliance > Registration page.
    3. Go to the vCenter Server details section, and click Unregister.
      A confirmation dialog box appears.
    4. To proceed with unregistration, click Yes.
After you click unregister AppDefense plug-in, the vCenter Server details remain available.
  2. You can reregister AppDefense plug-in.
    1. Go to the Appliance > Registration page.
    2. Go to the vCenter Server details section, and click Register.
On registering the AppDefense plug-in again, there should be no errors on the screen and the vCenter Server host name and thumbprint should be same as the first-time registration.

Solution

AppDefense plug-in is registered again with same vCenter Server.

After reregistration, if you see errors on the host module as Unsupported or Not installed, you must perform Config Sync for that host from AppDefense Manager.

  • Log in to the AppDefense Manager.
  • Click Inventory, and then click the Hosts tab.
  • Click the required host, and then click Config Sync. This action sync up the hosts with the new appliance configuration. After the sync is complete, the status of the host becomes Active.
