Log helps to troubleshoot any problem related to AppDefense Appliance.
- SSH to the AppDefense Appliance using the admin credentials.
For example, SSH admin@<Appliance_IP_Address>.
- Go to /var/log/appdefense and compress the logs with tar or zip command, such as tar zcvf /tmp/appd_logs.tar.gz /var/log/appdefense.
- Use SCP (secure copy) or WinSCP to securely copy file to the required location.
- You can provide the exported logs to the VMware AppDefense technical support team.
