VMware Aria Automation supports plug-in based Google Cloud Platform (GCP) resources. You can create plug-in based instances, storage buckets, disks, and more. The GCP account that you use with classic resources can also be used to provision plug-in based resources.

You can also run common day 2 operations on your resources. See What actions can I run on Automation Assembler deployments or supported resources for a full list of supported actions.

Using plug-in based resources to build your infrastructure allows for faster access to GCP resources and properties as they become available. You can also use allocation helpers with plug-in based GCP resources in your cloud templates. The GCP account that you use with classic resources can also be used to provision plug-in based resources.
Note: You can deploy resources in all regions regardless of the ones specified in the cloud account. These are taken into account only when using allocation helpers.

You provision plug-in based GCP resources using Automation Assembler cloud templates, and you deploy these cloud templates in the typical manner using the Automation Assembler Design tab functionality. After you deploy a cloud template, you can check your Google Cloud Console to confirm that the resource was provisioned successfully.
