To establish the connection between the VMware Aria Automation and the VMware Aria Automation Plug-in, the ServiceNow system administrator or Plug-in administrator must register the Plug-in to a VMware Aria Automation instance. To register the VMware Aria Automation Plug-in with VMware Aria Automation Cloud a refresh key (API token) is required.
Procedure
- Log in to ServiceNow as a system administrator or Plugin admin user.
- From the left pane, click .
- From the Endpoint Type drop-down menu, select the VMware Aria Automation Cloud option.
Note:
While registering the endpoint, the telemetry pop-up will be displayed for consent. For more information, see Telemetry.
- Enter the following details of your VMware Aria Automation Cloud instance.

Select the required region base URL from the drop-down menu.
Note:
By default, three regions are added to the x_vmw_cloudservice.cloud_API_endpoint_URL system property. You can add more VMware Aria Automation Cloud regions in comma-separated values as required in this system property. Contact VMware Support for more information.

- Click Save and Import to register and import the VMware Aria Automation Cloud data into the VMware Aria Automation Plug-in.
- Repeat steps from 2 to 5 to register additional VMware Aria Automation end-points for different regions.
Note:
If an endpoint is deactivated and reactivated again, then run the scheduled jobs again to re-import. Else, the user cannot perform any day-2 actions. See Configure and Run Import Jobs.
