Before you begin the installation process for Automation Config, you must complete some pre-installation tasks in a specific order as listed.

Complete these prerequisite steps in order prior to installation:

  1. Update required SaltStack dependencies
  2. Install Salt on your infrastructure
  3. Transfer and import the installation files to the Salt master node
