If your VMware Cloud on AWS Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) is located within the United States (US region), you can deploy and use an Automation Assembler agent in your VMware Cloud on AWS SDDC. The agent facilitates the connection between the SDDC and a VMware Cloud on AWS cloud account that you create in VMware Aria Automation.

The Automation Assembler agent simplifies VMware Aria Automation trial activation from a US region-based VMware Cloud on AWS SDDC. This reduces the time it takes for you to start leveraging VMware Aria Automation for automating your VMware Cloud on AWS workloads.

Note: If you are creating a VMware Cloud on AWS cloud account in a VMware Aria Automation on AWS GovCloud (US) environment, see Getting Started with VMware Aria Automation on AWS GovCloud (US). Documentation about related products is available at the VMware vRealize Cloud Universal on AWS GovCloud (US) product documentation landing page.

An API token and vCenter credentials are not required for VMware Cloud on AWS SDDCs that reside in a US region.

The cloud proxy VM is not required for VMware Cloud on AWS SDDCs that reside in a US region.

If your SDDC is located outside of the United States (non-US region), see Create a VMware Cloud on AWS cloud account in VMware Aria Automation in the workflow.
