Why can't I see any data in the charts of the VMware Aria Hub Subscription home page?

As a VMware Aria Universal Suite user, if you are not using on-premises or cloud services, you can not see any data in the Home Page. You can view data once you start using your cloud services or if you add VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle as an endpoint for on-premises consumption.

How do I apply VMware Aria Universal Suite license keys to VMware Aria Automation, VMware Aria Operations, or other Aria on-premises products?

You can use an existing VMware Cloud Services Data Collector or you can perform a fresh VMware Cloud Services Data Collector installation to connect to your on-premises Aria instances.

You must install VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle, get the license keys into VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle by downloading it manually or by adding the MyVMware account in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle, and then replacing the license keys for these products through VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.

What can I do if no data is displayed in the charts after adding endpoints?

Verify that your endpoints that are active for VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle. If any of your endpoints are inactive, log in to VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle, and then reconnect to VMware Aria Hub Subscription. Also, if your license keys are connected to VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle, but are inactive in VMware Aria Hub Subscription, then VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle cannot send data due to network issues. What data is sent to Cloud from my datacenter?

The license usage data required by VMware is sent from VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle or the Cloud Proxy to VMware Aria Hub Subscription in VMware Cloud. The usage data comprises of the number of CPUs or cores that are managed by Aria products under a given license, and this data is transferred over secure HTTP, using TLS. For VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.1 and later releases, SSLv3, TLS1.0, and TLS1.1 are deactivated by default, and only TLS1.2 is supported.

How do I know about the product and infrastructure consumption if I have an overage?

The graphs on the home page of VMware Aria Hub Subscription provide overage for your on-premises and Cloud services, consumption details, and visibility for the source of consumption of the available services. If you want to view granular data, use the export usage.

Support for both standalone service subscriptions and VMware Aria Universal Suite bundle is not available in the same organization. If you have an active standalone subscription in an organization, you cannot purchase VMware Aria Universal Suite until your current subscription expires. Similarly, if you have an active VMware Aria Universal Suite subscription, you cannot purchase standalone subscriptions until your subscription expires.
