This chapter describes about the installation requirements.

Installation Requirements

Cloud proxy: Management pack for VMware Telco cloud automation follows a containerised approach and requires a Cloud Proxy to be deployed. For more information, see Installing Cloud Proxy.

For sizing guidelines for cloud proxy, see VMware Aria Operations Sizing Guidelines.

The Management pack for VMware Telco cloud automation can be downloaded from VMware market place. Once the .pak file is downloaded, on your VMware Aria Operations instance proceed to configure the management pack by navigating to Data Sources > Integrations > Repository > Add.

The container image for the adapter needs to be downloaded by the cloud proxy from an image repository. The required images will be downloaded from vmwaressas.jfrog.io, the image repository URL needs to be configured on the VMware Aria Operations instance for the same.

On your VMware Aria Operations instance navigate to Administration > Global Settings > System settings > Docker image default registry URL and enter vmwaresaas.jfrog.io/tca-docker-dev-docker-local

Note:

If the VMware Aria Operations instance and the corresponding cloud proxy is deployed in an airgapped environment, the docker image needs to be hosted in an image repository that the cloud proxy can reach. For further instructions, see Deploying Aria Operations Management Pack for VMware Telco Cloud Automation in an Airgap environment.
