Use the NSX Advanced Load Balancer Availability & Health dashboard to understand the availability of a virtual service and associated service engines and the current availability status and health score as reported in the recent collection cycle.

How to Use the Dashboard

  • Select an NSX Advanced Load Balancer instance from the NSX Advanced LB Instances widget.
  • You see the availability and health of the virtual services for the selected instance in the Virtual Service Availability Heatmap and Virtual Service Health Heatmap widgets.
  • Similarly, you see the availability and health of the service engines for the selected instance in the Service Engine Availability Heatmap and Service Engine Health Heatmap widgets.

By default, the heatmap widgets have three color codes. Green indicates that the health score of the virtual service or service engine is between 90–100. Yellow/orange means that the health score of the virtual service or service engine is between 70–89 and there are issues that should be identified and fixed. Red indicates that the health score of the virtual service or service engine is less than 70, has deteriorated, and needs immediate attention.

Note: The Virtual Services Health Overview dashboard complements the NSX Advanced Load Balancer Availability & Health dashboard. For more information, see the Virtual Services Health Overview Dashboard.
