Limitations for Kubernetes

• Auto-discovery is supported for the following:

  • VMware Tanzu Mission Control (TMC) clusters provisioned on Amazon Web Services and vSphere

  • Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated

  • Tanzu Kubernetes Grid

• Automatic deletion of Kubernetes clusters is not supported for adapter instance which is not in collection state.

• If a discovered cluster is manually deleted on the VMware Aria Operations user interface but on the Kubernetes environment, the credentials of the discovered cluster must be deleted manually so that VMware Aria Operations can discover the cluster again.

• Discovery of the Replication Controller has been deactivated.

• API versions are limited to:

  • extensions/v1beta1 on Kubernetes v1.5.x – 1.7.x

  • apps/v1beta2 on Kubernetes v1.8.x

  • apps/v1 on Kubernetes 1.9.x and above

• Only the following authentication providers are supported in VMware Aria Operations Management Pack for Kubernetes.

  • Internal UAA

  • LDAP Server
