Support for VDI Pool or RDS Farm automated remediations and expanding the automated pools. You can also run these actions as alert recommendations. ​

How the Action Works

Discovering and clearing the faulty VMs by using the Reset/Recover option.

  • Automated detection and recovery of virtual desktops and RDS Hosts in an Error state.​

  • You must have the Admin capability to increase the pool size when the limit has exceeded. This action helps with:

    Automated detection and expansion of VDI Pools with low available desktops.

    Automated detection and expansion of RDS Farms with RDS Host.

Prerequisites

  • You must configure the VMware Horizon adapter with full administrator credentials.

Action Options

Steps for Recover Machines in the VDI Pool or RDS Farm
  1. Navigate to VDI Pool or the RDS Farms.

  2. Click Actions and select Recover Machines in the VDI Pool.

  3. Click Begin Action.

    After you click Begin Action, the next dialog box provides the task ID and a link to the task list.

    Option Description
    Recent Tasks To view the status of the job and verify that the job finished, click Recent Tasks.
    OK To close the dialog box without further action, click OK.

    As soon as the task completes, you see the details updated in the pool for machines with Error states.

Steps for Update VDI Pool or RDS Farm for Expanding
  1. Navigate to VDI Pool or the RDS Farms.

  2. Click Actions and select Recover Machines in the VDI Pool.

  3. Update the number of max desktop count or spare desktop count values.

  4. Click Begin Action.

    As soon as the task completes, you see the details updated in the pool for machines with the updated spare desktops values.
