You can configure monitoring for desktops that are not in use.

Procedure

  1. From the left menu, click Visualize > Views, and then click Create.
  2. In the View Types screen, click List.
  3. In the Create View screen, enter the name as Desktop Pools Not in Use and click Next.
  4. Enter the subject as Horizon VDI Pool.
  5. Expand the Metrics section and click Summary > Number of Sessions.
    • Select and drag the Number of Sessions metric to the Data pane.
  6. In the Configurations pane, select Sum from the Transformations drop-down and click Next.

    You see the options to set the date range.

  7. Set the Relative Date Range to 30 days and click Next.

    You see the options to set the criteria.

  8. In the drop-downs:
    1. Select Metrics in the first drop-down
    2. Select Summary/Number of sessions in the second drop-down
    3. Change the third drop-down from Current to Sum
    4. Select is from the fourth drop-down and set the value as 0
  9. Click Create.

Dashboard

  1. From the left menu, click Dashboards > Visualize, and then click Create.
  2. Enter the dashboard name as Horizon Desktop Monitoring.
  3. Enable Views and select List.
  4. Drag the List widget from the bottom and click Edit for New List View.
  5. Enter the view name as Desktop Pools Not in Use for 30 Days.
    1. Expand the Configuration section:

      • Set Refresh Content to On
      • Set Self Provider to On
    2. Expand the Input Data section and enter Horizon World in Object.

    3. Expand the Output Data section and select the Desktop Pools Not in Use view.
    4. Click Save.
  6. Click Save to create the dashboard for future use.
