To create a least-privileged user (LPU) for VNX Block /File, you must assign a certain role to the user you plan to use as your management pack credentials.
Log in to the Control Station as an administrator, then navigate to Settings > Security > User Management, then select one of the following:
Local Users for File
Local Users for Block
Create or edit the the user you plan to use for your management pack credentials, assigning the appropriate role as indicated below:
File: Select opadmin from the Primary Group drop-down menu, and ensure "CLI access allowed" is selected.
Block: Select the Storage Domain Role of Operator.
Save your changes.
