Configure vCenter Server Health

Before you monitor the health for a vCenter Server instance, you have to configure the vCenter Server in your SDDC health solution.

Prerequisites

• Verify that the vCenter Server adapter is configured and is running.
• Ensure that the user is configured with privileges required to discover vCenter Services. See, Permissions Required to Discover vCenter Services.

Procedure

1. From the left menu, click Environment > Inventory, and then click Adapter Instances.
2. Select SDDC Health Adapter Instance.
3. Search for a vCenter object with adapter type as SDDC health, and then click the edit icon.
4. Edit the required text boxes or click the plus icon to add new credentials.
5. In Manage Credential, enter the OS credentials. For a Windows vCenter, enter the OS user name. For example, administrator. For a VCSA, enter the local OS user name. For example, root or any user with a shell access.
6. Click OK.
