Non-Transparent Configuration

The current configuration involves non-transparent load balancing for TCP connections, while allowing syslog UDP traffic to pass through transparently.

Prerequisites

There are some requirements and prerequisites for VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer in front of a VMware Aria Operations for Logs cluster.

• This document assumes that VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer is already deployed and fully operational in your environment.

• VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer's Service Engines are deployed and have access to the network on which VMware Aria Operations for Logs cluster is deployed.

• VMware Aria Operations for Logs cluster has been deployed in the environment and is fully functional with all nodes in the cluster.

• Firewall is configured to allow the appropriate connections.
