You can use the Switch Port page to get a detailed overview of the switch ports available in VMware Aria Operations for Networks.

To access this page, search for Switch Port on the VMware Aria Operations for Networks home page. The search result lists all the switch ports on VMware Aria Operations for Networks. Click the entity for which you want to view further details.

Section Details
Overview You see:
  • Key configurations and runtime properties of the switch port.
  • A list of VMs connected to the switch port.
Alerts You see the problems and changes associated with the switch port.
Metrics

You see the following switch port metrics:

  • Network Rx Rate - The average rate at which data was received during the time interval.
  • Network Traffic Rate - The average of received and transmitted traffic during the time interval.
  • Network Tx Rate - The average rate at which data was transmitted during the time interval.
  • Dropped Rx Packets - The average ratio of dropped received packets to total received packets.
  • Dropped Tx Packets - The average ratio of dropped transmitted packets to total transmitted packets.
  • Interface Peak Buffer Utilization - Peak buffer occupancy per port during the time interval.
  • uRPF Drop Packets -The number of packets dropped at the switch port due to unicast reverse-path forwarding (uRPF).
    Note: The number of dropped packets is displayed in the metrics only if you are viewing the switch port details of a Cisco ASR 1K device and if the uRPF feature is enabled on the device.
