Flow Support for Physical Servers

VMware Aria Operations for Networks supports the device that sends the NetFlow data of versions v5, v7, and v9. If the DNS Mapping and Subnet-VLAN mapping information is provided, VMware Aria Operations for Networks can enrich the NetFlow data with DNS Domains, DNS Host Names, Subnets, and Layer 2 networks. This feature is available for the Enterprise License users only.

To configure NetFlow in VMware Aria Operations for Networks, perform the following steps:

1. Add a Physical Flow Collector for NetFlow and sFlow.
2. Configure the NetFlow collector in the physical devices to receive the flows.
3. Importing the DNS Mapping.
4. Configuring the Physical Subnets and VLANs.
