The Azure Virtual Network Overview dashboard is built to provide an overview of virtual network resources configured in your Azure environment. You can view the number of resources configured, and drill down into an individual virtual network to check for round trip times and failed pings. These numbers are displayed at the Azure World level by default, and you can filter by subscription, region and resource group. .
How To Use The Dashboard?
- Subscriptions widget: Displays all the subscriptions available. Select a subscription from the list.
- Regions widget: Displays the regions associated with the subscription you selected.
- Resource Groups widget: Displays the resource groups associated with the subscription you selected.
- Virtual Networks widget: Displays the total number of virtual networks configured for the selected subscription, region, and resource group.
- Virtual Networks Configured widget: Displays a list of configured virtual networks and their details such as, the name and whether VM protection and DDoS protection is enabled.
- Round Trip Time for Pings widget: Displays the round trip time for pings for the selected virtual network. Round trip time is a key factor for measuring network latency and page load times.
- Failed Pings widget: Displays the total number of failed pings for the selected virtual network. When you ping a VM when it is powered off, it results in a failed ping.
- Virtual Network Topology widget: Provides a topological view of the configured virtual network.
