Complete all the prerequisites required so that cloud proxy can communicate with vCenter Server. In the case of application monitoring high availability activated collector groups, these prerequisites are applicable for cloud proxies that are a part of the collector group.
Note: Applicable to VMs managed by the
vCenter Server cloud account.
- Port 443 in the ESXi where the workload VMs are deployed must be accessible to cloud proxy.
- Port 443 in Platform Services Controller and vCenter Server is accessible to cloud proxy. Open this port if vCenter Server is configured with an external Platform Services Controller.
- Configure a vCenter adapter. The vCenter Server user should have read access at the vCenter Server level and should also have the following permissions:
