Using the GCP Storage Bucket Overview dashboard you can get an overview of the cloud storage resources in your GCP environment.

The GCP Storage Bucket Overview dashboard helps you answer several key questions.
  • How many Storage Buckets are configured in your environment?
  • What are the storage class and location types of the buckets?
  • What are the utilization statistics of storage buckets?
  • What is the egress/ingress traffic for the top 10 buckets?
  • What are the top 10 buckets with the most errors?

How to Use the Dashboard?

In the GCP Storage Bucket Overview dashboard, the data is displayed at the GCP World level by default. You can filter them by project and by region. You can also check utilization statistics, egress/ingress traffic, and errors on buckets, or drill down to a specific bucket.
  • Projects widget: Displays the total number of GCP projects being monitored at the GCP World level. Select a project from the table to refresh the dashboard and view information for a specific project.
  • Regions widget: Select a region to filter the displayed information and view the data for a specific region.
  • Storage Buckets widget: Displays the total number of storage buckets for the selected project and region.
  • Buckets By Storage Class widget: Displays the number of buckets for storage classes such as standard, regional, nearline, coldline, and archive.
  • Buckets By Location Type widget: Displays the number of buckets for location type such as region, multi-region, and dual-region.
  • Top 10 Buckets widget: Displays the top 10 buckets with highest/lowest space usage, high/low egress traffic, high/low ingress traffic, highest object count, and the most 4XX and 5XX errors.
  • Bucket Space Usage Distribution widget: Displays the number of buckets and their average consumption of bytes.
  • Bucket Egress Traffic Distribution widget: Displays the number of buckets and their average consumption of sent bytes.
  • Bucket Ingress Traffic Distribution widget: Displays the number of buckets and their average consumption of received bytes.
  • Storage Bucket List widget: Displays the list of storage buckets for the selected project and region. The first storage bucket in the list is selected by default. Select a storage bucket to view the associated details in the Object Count Average, Request Count Average, Total Size Usage, Received Bytes Average, and Sent Bytes Average widgets.
