Using the GCP Network Overview dashboard you can get an overview of your GCP VPCs and key network services linked to it.

The GCP Network Overview dashboard helps you answer several key questions.
  • What is the network service count for a specific project?
  • How many VPC Networks are configured in your environment?
  • What are the VPN gateways for a specific VPC Network?
  • How many VPN Tunnels and Subnets are connected to a specific VPC Network?

How to Use the Dashboard?

In the GCP Network Overview dashboard, the data is displayed at the GCP World level by default. You can filter them by project. You can view the number of VPCs, Subnets, VPN Gateways, and VPN tunnels. You can also choose a specific VPC and drill down into the network resources linked to the selected VPC.
  • Projects widget: Displays the total number of GCP projects being monitored at the GCP World level. Select a project from the table to refresh the dashboard and view information for a specific project.
  • Network Services widget: Displays the total number of VPC Networks, number of Subnetworks, number of VPN Gateways, and the number of VPN tunnels.
  • VPC Networks widget: Displays the list of VPC Networks. The first VPC in the list is selected by default. The list of VPC Networks gets updated according to the selected project. Select a VPC Network to view the associated VPN gateways, subnets, and VPN tunnels.
  • Services widget: Displays the total number of VPN gateways, subnets, and VPN tunnels for the selected VPC network.
  • VPN Gateways widget: Displays the list of VPN gateways for the selected VPC Network and details such as name, region, description, VPN interfaces, and connections.
  • VPN Tunnels widget: Displays the list of VPN tunnels for the selected VPC Network and VPN Gateway. It displays details such as name, IKE version, region, status, VPN gateway interface, and peer external gateway interface. The first VPN tunnel in the list is selected by default. Select a VPN tunnel to view the associated details in the Incoming Packets Dropped, Outgoing Packets Dropped, Received Bytes, and Sent Bytes widgets.
  • Subnets widget: Displays the list of subnetworks for the selected VPC Network and details such as name, purpose, IP CIDR range, and gateway address.
