If you need to patch an installed VMware Aria Suite product, you can use the VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle APIs. You apply patches to correct issues with a product or to upgrade a product to a newer version.
You can apply the following types of patches:
- Product patches. Patch VMware Aria Suite products.
- Product Support Pack (PS Pack) patches. Patch to support a new release of a VMware Aria Suite product that was installed using VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.
- System patches. Patch VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.
Product | Product ID |
---|---|
VMware Aria Operations | vrops |
VMware Aria Operations for Logs | vrli |
vRealize Business for Cloud | vrbc |
VMware Aria Automation | vra |
Workspace ONE Access | vidm |
VMware Aria Operations for Networks | vrni |
The patching process involves downloading or importing the patch into VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle and applying it to the installed product. For most VMware Aria Suite products, you can install patches directly on the product or apply the patch using VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle. For VMware Aria Automation, you must use VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle to apply a patch.
All patches are available from the Content Delivery Network (CDN). If you can access the CDN, you can download patch files directly to VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle. If you are on a VPN with restricted network access, you can log in to the My VMware portal to manually download patch files to your local drive and then import them to VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.
