Increase VMware Aria Automation memory to 54 GB for Medium sized appliances only
When upgrading VMware Aria Automation to version 8.16.2, you might encounter a pre-check error indicating the need to raise appliance memory to 54 GB. Follow these steps to adjust the memory on the appliances accordingly.
-
Shutdown the VMware Aria Automation appliance or cluster by using the Power Off day 2 action in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.
-
Ensure that there are no snapshots on the appliances. If you have any, delete the snapshots as vCenter will not allow any resource expansion with snapshots.
-
Increase the memory of the VMware Aria Automation appliances to 54 GB by using the VMware vSphere Client and selecting the Edit Settings menu option.
-
Startup the VMware Aria Automation appliance or cluster by using the Power On day 2 action in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.
