Use the following steps to recover your vRealize Business for Cloud environment.

Procedure

  1. Enable vRealize Business for Cloud product VM replication option on the primary vCenter where vRealize Business for Cloud product is deployed and configured with the same primary vCenter Server.

    After you enable, validate the data that is replicated from the primary site to the secondary site.

  2. Create a Protection Group, and select vRealize Business for Cloud VM where the vSphere Replication is enabled.
  3. Add the vRealize Business for Cloud VM to the Protection Group. For example, vSphere Replication protection groups.

    Check if the Protection Group status is set to OK.

  4. Create the Recovery Plan and add the protection group.
  5. Select the recovery plan and test if the recovery, and clean-up is completed.
  6. Run the Recovery Plan on the primary vCenter.

    You can notice that the recovered VM is up on the recovery site.

  7. Shut down the VM on the primary site.

Results

vRealize Business for Cloud is now running on the secondary vCenter after the failover.
