Communication between Avi Load Balancer Controller and VMware vSphere

This topic discusses the communication between Avi Load Balancer Controller and VMware vSphere.

The Avi Load Balancer Controller must be able to communicate with vCenter and all ESXi hosts that contribute to the deployment. If the communication fails, then the Avi Load Balancer Controller will not be able to spawn SEs. Similarly, if the ESXi hosts have DNS names, then the Avi Load Balancer Controller must point to the DNS server used by the ESXi hosts to avoid the names resolving to different IP addresses.

Note:

The Controller to ESXi host communication is not needed if content library is used.
