You can configure rules and limitations, control worker behavior, configure authentications, and determine the life cycle of logs in general settings.

The General Settings include General, Workers, Authentication Configuration, and Execution Logs sections.

Procedure

  1. Click Global Settings > System Configuration.
  2. In General Settings, enter the details.
    Parameter Description
    Host location Displays the host location.

    To change the host location, contact VMware BMA support.

    Default landing page Enter the path of the page that must appear by default.

    If you do not specify any page, the Dashboard window appears by default.

    Enforce strong local password policy To enforce requirements for passwords, such as minimum length and usage of special letters, select the check box.
    Lockout user after consecutive failed login attempts To prevent the users from logging into the platform after a number of unsuccessful attempts, select the check box.
    Login attempts Enter the number of login attempts you can make before being locked out.
    Lockout duration Enter the time duration to prevent from logging in.
  3. In Workers, enter the configuration settings for the remote worker behavior.
    Parameter Description
    Timeout (seconds) Enter the time interval after which all jobs the worker executes must be suspended or killed.
    Total timeout (seconds) Enter the time interval after which communication between the worker and the API must be considered permanently lost.

    The flow is stopped and no responses are accepted after the time expires, even if connection is reestablished.

    Timeout action Select the action that must occur after the timeout.
    On Error Behavior Select the action that must occur if an error occurs.
    Response max size (MB) Enter the maximum size of the response of a worker. Larger sizes are automatically trimmed to the specified number.

    If you enter 0, it means no trimming is required.

    Sync response max size (MB) Enter the maximum size of the response sent to the caller. Larger sizes are trimmed to the specified number.

    If you enter 0, it means no limitation for the memory.

    Flow Memory Limit Enter the memory limit of an execution of a single flow.

    If you enter 0, it means no limitation for the memory.

  4. In Authentication Configuration, enter the cache expiration time interval that determines how often authentications are invalidated.
    If you enter 0, it means that no revalidation occurs and that the cache does not expire.
  5. In Execution Logs, enter the number of days after which the old logs are removed to save the disk space.
    If you enter 0, it means that the logs remains and does not get removed.
  6. Click Save.
