To visualize and analyze the distributed tracing data, you must configure distributed tracing in Tanzu Observability by Wavefront.
Prerequisites
Verify that you have a Tanzu Observability by Wavefront service configured. See https://docs.wavefront.com/.
Verify that the distributed tracing feature is enabled in the infrastructure descriptor file. See OpenTracing Tanzu Observability by Wavefront Metrics Parameters.
Familiarize yourself with the Tanzu Observability by Wavefront dashboard search and filtering menu items. See https://docs.wavefront.com/ui_examine_data.html.
Verify that you have permission to access the dashboards.
Verify that you have the deployed blockchain ID information.
Procedure
- Log in to Tanzu Observability by Wavefront.
- Navigate to the dashboard.
- Select Applications from the dashboard drop-down menu.
- Click Traces.
- Select one of the Application name or blockchain deployments.
- Select .
- In the Tags menu, select blockchain or your application name.
- Enter your unique blockchain ID, the key-value pair for your blockchain.
- Click Search to generate an application or blockchain deployment trace.
- (Optional) Filter the search results by changing the time window in the top left corner of the dashboard.
