Cryptographic Algorithms

VMware Blockchain uses industry-standard cryptographic algorithms for various functions within the product.

The functions include key exchange, data integrity, and hashing for digital signatures.

TLS 1.3 with secp384r1 curve establishes an encrypted communication channel between the Replica and Client nodes in the network. SHA-2 and SHA-3 are used for cryptographic hashing.

The platform also uses BLS multi-signature scheme to prevent rogue attacks on the internal Concord-BFT signatures.
