VMware Blockchain cloning is performed by creating a snapshot of a Replica or Client node secondary EBS or storage volume on the AWS console and utilizing the automated Concord metadata cleanup workflow.
You can use the snapshot of the nodes to troubleshoot a transaction failure or test any upgrade problems in the cloned blockchain deployment environment without causing any disruptions in the production environment. A cloned blockchain deployment environment can also be used as a backup if a production-level application upgrade fails.
