The VMware Blockchain cloning process is a two-step process. The first step requires creating a backup of an existing blockchain deployment and the second step requires creating a clone from the newly saved backup.
You can use the snapshot of the nodes to troubleshoot a transaction failure or test any upgrade problems in the cloned blockchain deployment environment without causing any disruptions in the production environment. A cloned blockchain deployment environment can also be used as a backup if a production-level application upgrade fails.
